Patent Granted for Pumice-Derived Nanofiber Technology
Pumiceum celebrates the announcement of a significant scientific development in the field of advanced materials. A novel nanofiber material produced from pumice, a volcanic rock with high porosity, low weight, and exceptional heat resistance, has been successfully developed.
The innovation was led by Associate Professor Dr. Ali Kılıçer at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, who recognized the untapped potential of abundant local pumice reserves.
Research & Publications
Pumice-based nanofiber research has gained formal recognition through patent registration and is supported by peer-reviewed academic work. A relevant published study demonstrating pumice-containing nanofiber production via electrospinning is available in the scientific literature.
